Later on this week, I'm going to do a post on character voice and why it's so important. But today I'm having a contest! More like a mini-contest. Okay, so it's less of a contest and more of a giveaway with a hitch.
Here it is: I have bookmarks. And I know you want one. I know you're sitting at your computer practically salivating at the idea of getting one of my super fantastic bookmarks....or not. Maybe you're only salivating because you just woke up. Oh wait, that's me.
Now, all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me one thing you'd do if you only had one day to live. Then email shaun@shaundavidhutchinson.com with the subject: GIMME MY BOOKMARK, and the address to which you'd like it sent. *****EDITED TO ADD***** Please keep it mostly clean :)

And don't mind if the envelopes are a little moist, I'm letting my dog lick them.
Your dog looks wonderful. I'm not sure that dog-spit is enough of a temptation to make me ask for a bookmark though!

ReplyDeleteI'd probably try to keep things normal, but spend the day with people I love, doing things I enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI've actually made a list of all the things I want to do before i die so I'd probably just do as many of those I could in one day.
ReplyDeleteThe things on the list range from serious things to stupid things like walk through a drive thru while pretending to be in a car with my friends (even though thats a misdemeanor), and going through a car wash without a top on the car (tho that would ruin the car)! :)

ReplyDeleteYou know I asked myself that question when I started reading Before I fall by Lauren Oliver and it didn't take me long to come up with what I wanted to do. I would love to spend the day with my son at Disney World! I love Disney World and have been there six times and my son has only been there once when he was two which really doesn't count. He's seven now and could enjoy it a whole lot more. Ok Im off the emial you now.

ReplyDeleteI would probably just spend time with my wife, my pets, write synopses for all of the stories in my head (so, you know, Jenn would have to write them after I'm gone, of COURSE) and eat a mango. Because mangos make even death better. XD
ReplyDeleteI've always said my death-row meal would be authentic French bread with real butter, so I'd eat that. I'd write letters to my parents and my brother (I wouldn't be able to talk to them without bawling). Then I'd call in almost-dead to work, steal Dave for the day, and go dance under a tree somewhere.

ReplyDeleteI'd grab my family and go drive someplace beautiful. (In Montana that's pretty easy to do.) I'd spend some time on the phone with my friends. I was thinking I might call up that crush and tell him what I thought of him, but I probably wouldn't. If he didn't agree, that'd be kind of a crummy last day for me, and if he did agree, that'd just be mean.
Oh. And I'd eat sugary things. Definitely.
I would have to say I would spend all my time with my girls. They are my life and what ever they want mommy will do. I sure would like to go to disney though .
