Okay, so I promise that soon I'll get back to regular posting (like the fact that I'm down to 207 pounds!). But Simon Pulse has been awesome enough to let me post the first chapter of THE DEATHDAY LETTER for everyone to see. Follow the link below and read it in all it's glory. And while you're there, you'll have the opportunity to read the second chapter too. I hope you enjoy.
Wow! It is AWESOME!! What a fantastic opening chapter. And Ollie's voice - love it ;)
ReplyDeleteAaaaahhhh! (That was me screaming!) I love it.
ReplyDeleteAndrea's right. That voice is fantastic.
When is the official release again?
Andrea - Thanks! I can't wait to read NIGHTSHADE :)
ReplyDeleteKat - LOL! You totally made my day. It releases June 15. Getting close (which is scaring the pants off of me).
Ollie's voice still cracks me up. He's great!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Diary, when I grow up I want to be a ballerina
Busted out laughing with spit hitting the screen and funky stuff coming from my nose. Absolutely brilliant!
"Because you're older than paper."
ReplyDeleteA-hahahaha! Love it. Great voice. Also love Ollie's trepidation about a world without Deathday letters.
seriously awesome! Busted out laughing several times and can't wait to read the rest! LOL ahhh the type of chapter that makes me want to hang up my hack pen in shame :) Love Ollie already :D
ReplyDeleteSTILL laughing over the "saw the Exorist, thought about sex" line ROFL
I love hearing all of y'all's favorite lines. Reading these totally makes having to work on a Sunday worth it :)
ReplyDeleteI am just stunned. This opening is so incredible, I can't wait until it comes out. I am not going to go read Chapter 2 however, because then I'll be all upset that I don't have the rest of it. Shaun, you hit the feel, vibe, and nerve of your characters with precision. If I was impressed with your writing before, I'm literally blown away now.
ReplyDeleteJust randomly passing through but I'll totally be looking for this book next year. Need to find out if Ollie uses the money to lose his--um, really does die at the end!
