Life is chaotic right now, but I haven't forgotten the blog. So here are some books I'm dying to read.
Personal Effects by EM Kokie
Live Through This by Mindy Scott
Passenger
Grasshopper Jungle
Winger by Andrew Smith
Ask the Passengers by AS King
The Diviners by Libba Bray
The Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling
Adaptation by Malinda Lo
The Twelve by Justin Cronin
The Other Normals by Ned Vizzini
Necromancing the Stone by Lish McBride
The Gathering Dark by Christine Johnson
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
Now you tell me: What books are you dying to read?
I can shamelessly say that I have been so far removed from the book world for the last six months that I only know about the forthcoming Smith titles, Rowling's new novel, and of course Vizzini's (he's one of my biggest influences). I will have to look up the others!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel being out of touch a little. Most of these I know because they're sequels of books I loved or were written by people I know.
DeleteIt's an adult pick, but I'm stoked for Tom Wolfe's new book Back to Blood. Bonfire of the Vanities is one of my favorite books, and Wolfe's writing has definitely influenced mine.
ReplyDeleteI know of over half of these, which makes me feel pretty good. Sadly, I'm not enough plugged in to publishing to be aware of many upcoming releases.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I'm looking forward to Amy's book.
